Spirtual Retreats

We are excited to announce that as the social restrictions are lifted spiritual retreats will be organised through the year for men, ladies, reverts and families alike.

Jamia Al Maarif have acquired a spiritual meditation centre in a quiet village in South Norfolk not far from Great Yarmouth and various other fantastic tourist attractions. These retreats will provide an opportunity for all the family to gain Islamic knowledge and to acquire inner peace through silent meditation (tazkiya) in a quiet surrounding away from urban life. Families will also be able to explore a wealth of country parks, camping grounds and various other family friendly outdoor activities. Norfolk has some of the best beaches in the country spread across 90 miles of coastline. These include the traditional seaside resorts of Great Yarmouth, Cromer and Hunstanton find out more.

Our retreats will be provided at an affordable cost to enable more people to gain benefit. This will be a new and welcomed experience for many of the families who do not normally get the opportunity to explore the countryside and areas outside their cities.

We at Jamia Al Maarif care for the families and individuals in our community and understand the physical and emotional effects the whole nations have faced during the 2020/2021 lockdowns as well as the struggles in daily life. We hope to provide families an opportunity to build memories, social skills whilst (most importantly for us) enhancing their spiritual development.
