Advice & Counseling

Ask the Imam

We are very blessed to be able to offer Jamia Al Maarif Religious Advice Service through our Imam Muhammad Amir Karim. (Also Imam at Cambridge Mosque). Women advisors also available for female 1-1 guidance.

This service offers the opportunity for individuals from all backgrounds to seek Spiritual guidance and advice according to Ahle sunnah wal jama’ah.

Counselling | Emotional Support

Jamia Al Maarif are lucky to have qualified therapists on board, enabling us the opportunity to provide support services to improve the emotional wellbeing, Islamic and spiritual growth of any individual.

Those in need for an attentive ear may receive 1-1 counselling where strategies will be explained on how to overcome any emotional challenges, or any trauma they may have faced such a marriage issues, isolation, bereavement, separation and abuse etc.

For individuals suffering from mental health difficulties such depression and anxiety, therapy sessions are available by our qualified therapists.

Many beneficiaries at Jamia Al Maarif have successfully been able to come to acceptance with the past and confidently move forward more positively in life through Spiritual meditation and guidance.

We hold a strong ethos in finding inner peace through Dhikr (Remembrance of Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) as stated in the Qur’an Verily, in the Remembrance of Allah (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) do hearts find rest (13:28).

Our spiritual courses and meditation classes have been very popular for those looking to find inner peace. Please see our spirituality page for more information on Tazkiya (purification of the soul).

Please complete a referral form and the relevant member of staff will contact you shortly.

When we are in the Tazkiya sitting, it’s like a short break from our busy worldly life in which our heart is purified and we attain the closeness of Allah  (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) – it is the cure to spiritual maladies and illness. In the same way we see a doctor when we are unwell, we see our spiritual guide when our inner self is diseased. I would highly recommend attending the spiritual gatherings offered by Jamia Al Maarif.
